Fried Bullet Pepper

This dish Fried Bullet Pepper’s inspiration came from the Spanish tapas dish with Fried Padron Peppers.

As usual, I was looking through the local vegetable stall for some exciting things to cook with and out pop these beauties. They looked very similar to Padron peppers, Spanish cook with except, these are super hot. I think these will make a great conversation starter at a get together or you can even have this dish as a competition dish, like the one from Red dog Salon, spicy wing challenge.

It’s super quick to fry these chillies. Instead of having them straight, you can add them to wraps, sandwiches or burritos if you like the sharp spicy kick in your food.

Instructions for Fried Bullet Pepper:

Mix the pepper with salt and oil and I put it in the Air fryer. If you don’t have Air fryer, you can cook the chillies on a pan and sauté or put it on a grill for few minutes until the flesh gets soft.

I actually cooked these beauties for about 25 minutes in the Airfryer to get the colour and the soft texture with wrinkly skin

  • 150 g Bullet pepper
